Our next meeting
will be Sunday evening, September 12, at 7pm in Clubhouse One. We have invited
candidates from all parties who are running for the Maryland State Senate
in District 19 (which includes Leisure World). The candidates will give a brief
presentation and then answer questions that we Boomers have on our minds. This
event promises to be an exciting follow-up to our very successful Candidates
Forum on July 11, where we had candidates from all parties running for the
Maryland State House of Delegates in District 19.
Prior to that meeting, we will have a meeting of the Baby Boomer Club Activities
Committee, starting at 5:30pm. Remember, you don't need to be a member of the
Committee to share your ideas for future activities. You might even want to
volunteer to coordinate a Boomer activity.
The Computer Center will only be open on Saturdays if they have enough
volunteers to monitor the Saturday sessions. Please visit
www.computerctr.org and click on "calendar." If you can
help, please contact Bob Hughes at bobhughes@computerctr.org
or 301-340-0922..
Welcome to the "homepage" of the Baby Boomers Club
of Leisure World of Maryland!
We're Baby Boomers, born January 1, 1946 through
December 31, 1964, who are
now living in Leisure World and still enjoying all the things we grew up with,
rock and roll, etc. (Please note that membership is open only to those born
between those dates, and who are now living in Leisure World.)
We have lots of enjoyable activities and we're
happy to welcome all Baby Boomers in Leisure World to join us.
