On July 14, 2001, the following resolution was adopted by
the "predominately white" Shrine of North America:
Robert N. Turnipseed, Imperial Potentate, A.A.O.N.M.S, of Calam Temple, Lewiston,
Idaho, along with the Imperial Divan, all of whom are Representatives, propose the
following:
RESOLUTION
Between Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (AAONMS) and the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order
Nobles of the Mystic Shrine of North and South America and its Jurisdictions, Inc., Prince Hall Affiliated
(AEAONMS):
WHEREAS:
Having recognized the fact, that the Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine
(AAONMS) and the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine of
North and South America and its Jurisdictions, Inc., Prince Hall Affiliated
(AEAONMS), having had agreed that the above Imperial Councils are regular in origin
and legitimate in nature;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; Each Imperial Council shall retain its sovereignty and remain
autonomous within its respective Imperial Domain, operating as heretofore, with its separate Imperial
Potentate, Constitution and Regulation, etc.; and
Upon approval of this Resolution by both Imperial Councils, the Imperial Councils will
communicate and accord visitation rights to each other to the extent that the several
Grand Lodge Jurisdictions, now and from time to time hereafter, will agree to
exchange fraternal recognition and rights of visitation in their respective Deserts.
Effect of amendment if passed: Recognition of Prince Hall Imperial Council and
authorizes such communication and visitation as permitted by the "several Grand
Lodge jurisdictions. "
