Fellows of the Philalethes Society – Chronological List
The Bylaws of the Philalethes Society provide: “Fellows are elected from Members of the Society who have shown a dedication to the knowledge of Freemasonry. The number is limited to 40 at any one time.”
Most of the information in the following chart comes from (a) Seekers of Truth: The Story of the Philalethes Society 1928-1988, by Allen E. Roberts (Anchor Communications, Highland Springs, Virginia, 1988, ISBN 0935633-06-5), (b) an upcoming (as of April 1999) article in The Philalethes magazine that will review the Philalethes Society’s history for the past decade, (c) past articles in that magazine, and (d) helpful brethren who sent me information. If any of the information on this chart is not correct or if anyone knows of additional information that should be included, please send me email by clicking on my name: Paul M. Bessel.
