The United Ancient Order of Druids (UAOD) is an international fraternal organization, organized in London in 1781. It is non-political and non-sectarian. It does not promote, study, or have ceremonies relating to any religious beliefs. Its objects are simply to bring people together to promote moral and social virtues, assist members and their families, and foster a spirit of good fellowship. Local groups are called Groves. Iona Grove #1, in the Washington DC area, meets four times a year for a dinner or lunch, presentation of a paper about fraternal organizations, and interesting discussions. Iona Grove #1 also meets to confer the degrees of the UAOD, which are similar to those in other fraternal organizations such as Freemasonry. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, of good character, and recognize the existence of a supreme power of the universe. If you are interested in applying for membership, please complete this application and return it as described at the bottom of this form.
